1919 Society Forum: Establishing a Scholarship at St. Joseph Hill Academy

Over the past two years, St. Joseph Hill Academy High School has received philanthropic support from members of our alumni who have generously expressed an interest in “giving back” to their cherished alma mater.  The “named” scholarships have been established by our alums, Ms. Constance Costa. Ms. Jeanine Khoury, Ms. Mary Alice O’Malley and Mr. Peter Shudtz, all of whom have stepped forward in response to a crucial need for financial support that our students are experiencing. 

On April 14, 2021,  the first  "1919 Society Forum:  Establishing a Scholarship at St. Joseph Hill Academy"  was held via zoom.  The event provided a forum in which the participants heard from the benefactors, Ms. Khoury and Ms. Costa,  who created their own scholarship at Hill, as well as from the students who have been the recipients of these scholarships.  The student presenters included:  

Noelle Curlin (Jeanine R. Khoury Scholarship); Bianca Gastaldi (Costa Family Scholarship);  Bridget Keag (Mary Alice Lucey O’Malley Scholarship); Cecilia Gabriel; Alessia Scalici (Mary Alice Lucey O’Malley Scholarship); and Victoria Leone (recipient of a Merit Scholarship). The transformative impact of scholarships on students, as well as on the donors, was evident throughout the workshop.
