Location: St. Joseph Hill Academy at the Performing Arts Studio
For this workshop, you will need a notebook and pen/pencil, binder, water, a snack, proper clothes/shoes.
Day 1: Singing /Audition Etiquette
Attendees will sing three songs of their choice. Song choice should show off your range and character diversity. Dress to show off your style and who you choose to be as a performer.
Day 2: Audition Etiquette/Mock Audition
Audition with 32 bars of a song of your choosing, and a 1 minute monologue and be prepared to dance. This will be a complete mock audition and first audition impression.
Day 3: Dance/Performance Agility/Audition Etiquette
Learn a dance combination and techniques to keep yourself in shape for auditions and performance. Dance shoes and comfortable clothes recommended. Day 4: Acting /Improvisation /Audition EtiquettePrepare a one minute monologue to be performed. The monologue and/or scene exercise will also include numerous improvisation games and techniques. By the end of the day you will receive a monologue that you will perform for your last class.
Day 5: Performance Day
For the last class there will be mock auditions piecing together all the tools you have learned in the workshop. You will perform your song with the piano, be split into groups for dance auditions and perform your monologue. You will then receive your critique and will feel fully prepared for any upcoming auditions you have in the future!

Painting - Watercolor and Acrylic Painting
Watercolor painting will be inspired by nature and the artist Georgia O’Keeffe.
Abstract painting using acrylic paint on canvas painters such as Jackson Pollock, Joan Mitchell, Vasily Kadinsky, will be our inspiration for “Action Painting” made famous by Jackson Pollack.
Sculpture - Picasso Inspired Soft Sculpture
The students will be looking at the artwork of Pablo Picasso and producing reinterpretations of the works of Picasso using clay.
Printmaking - Block printing method is a printing process that involves carving into a linoleum tile and printing an impression of the raised surface onto paper.
Gyotaku - a traditional 19th century Japanese form of art used by fishermen to record the size of their catch. We will be using replicas to create beautiful impressions on paper.
