About Ms. Pla

Ms. Jennifer Pla has a B.S. in Biology from Siena College and an M.S. in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Scranton. As an alumna of SJHA, she has a unique perspective of life here on the Hill. She teaches AP Biology, College Anatomy & Physiology, Environmental Sustainability, and Regents Biology. In addition to her teaching responsibilities, she is also the Science Department Chairperson, Hill’s Internal Coordinator for Middle States, and the Coordinator for St. Joseph Hill Academy's partnership with Staten Island University Hospital/Northwell,  Hill's Educational Leadership in Medicine Institute (HELM). 
 
Ms. Pla is married and has a son. During her “free time,” she enjoys reading, binge-watching Netflix, and eating chocolate!
