Hill's Track Coach, JP Pablo, is retiring after 16 years

Mr. Pablo has been the High School Cross Country and Track & Field Coach for 16 years. The vast majority of those years he coached three seasons. In February of 2020, after 14 years of coaching he received his CHSAA coaches jacket, an accomplishment of which he is very proud.

The girls on his team all know how much he loves the sport of track and field, as he himself participated in the sport while in high school at Moore Catholic and in college while he attended Wagner.

His lists of accomplishments as a runner include 8 marathons including 3 NYC marathons and he even ran one in Honolulu.

As a coach, he has helped his team win and individual athletes win many awards; including but not limited to, Freshmen City Champs in 2007, Sophomore City Champs 2008, Outdoor Freshmen Island Champs 2018, 1st place cross country sectionals 2021 and 1st place Indoor Sectionals 2022.

The hundreds of student athletes he had coached at Hill the last 16 years have benefitted from his love and dedication to the sport as he willingly gave up countless hours after school and on the weekends to coach.

We join his athletes in wishing him well. Thank You and Congratulations Coach!
