Why All-Girls?

St. Joseph Hill Academy High School is a school for girls. Hill students foster leadership skills by taking on key roles in every position throughout student life. Our academic programming is tailored to how girls learn best and, after four years, it instills the confidence in them to go out into the world and excel in whatever field they choose to pursue, including traditionally male-dominated fields.

Hill is a safe environment for girls to learn and develop academically, mentally, spiritually, and socially. Girls find their voice at Hill. They speak their mind and substantiate their ideas with real evidence.

why all girls

St. Joseph Hill Academy empowers students by educating the whole girl: academically, spiritually, and socially.

The value of a St. Joseph Hill Academy education does not end at graduation in your senior year. Hill graduates join a long line of proud and loyal alumnae that have left our hallowed halls with confidence, leadership skills, and a love of learning.

Hill Alumnae most frequently reflect on the strength, integrity, passion, and discipline they gained from their experience at Hill.

Word cloud

Hill graduates are, as the School's mission states, "confident, independent thinkers with strong character and leadership qualities ready to face society’s challenges.” The education and values that are instilled in you during your time at Hill are so important and formative. However, it is also the friendships you make at Hill that become invaluable to our graduates. The bond Hill students develop is one of mutual respect and admiration for each other. Our students support one another. They develop rich friendships at Hill that last a lifetime.

At Hill, we celebrate the vital role women play in society all year and we see the value in an all-girls learning environment every day. To mark Women's History Month this past March, we shared portraits and stories from notable Hill Alumnae on social media and with students during morning announcements. Hill Alumnae are succeeding in all types of fields and serve as role models for current students. Here are a few highlights.
“If we want our girls to benefit from the courage and wisdom of the women before them, we have to share the stories.” — Shireen Dodson | United Nations Ombudsman
