School Counseling
An integral part of the educational process is nurturing the emotional and psychological needs of the students. Our school counselors are available to guide students as they navigate high school and grow to be confident and independent thinkers. Our counselors take a holistic approach to counseling, addressing the emotional, social and or academic needs of our students.
In September of freshman year, each student meets with her counselor for the first time. Throughout her four years here, the same counselor is available to her for counseling sessions. Students may contact the school counselor directly for counseling or may be referred by parents/guardians or faculty. Referrals may be made in person, on the phone, or in writing.
In the counseling office, students will find an empathetic and confidential environment that encourages the life-long skill of asking for help when they need it. Our counselors always aim to work collaboratively with parents/guardians and faculty in order to meet the needs of our students. We encourage parents/guardians to reach out to us with any concerns.
