Madison Gorman has earned the Congressional Gold Medal completing over 400 hours of Voluntary Public Service, over 200 hours of Personal Development, over 200 hours of Physical Fitness and 6 Exploration trips.
Congress established the Congressional Award in 1979 to recognize initiative, service and achievement in young people. The Congressional Award is about challenge and Madison did just that. She challenged herself with this significant accomplishment, in addition to the rigorous Honors coursework and numerous extracurricular activities. Gold Medals are presented at a special ceremony in Washington, D.C. in June.
