As we enter the New Year at St. Joseph Hill Academy, we are excited about the opportunities that 2024 holds! With the same commitment and unwavering dedication to our Hill community, we enthusiastically start the year with renewed goals and creative ideas to further our mission. This issue focuses on one alumna, Rita Polidori O'Brien '86, who generously gives her time and talent back to Hill!

St. Joseph Hill Academy held our second annual High School All-Sports Athletic Alumnae Reunion on the evening of Friday, November 17, 2023 thanks to a collaborative effort between Hill’s Office of Advancement and Alumni Relations and the Athletics Department. The event reunited Hill alumnae athletes to celebrate their legacy set amongst the banners, trophies, and photos that detail Hill's amazing athletic achievements throughout the decades. This year, St. Joseph Hill Academy was proud to honor Anne Marie McDonough, SJHA Class of 1980 and Hill Varsity Swim Coach 1995-2020, and the SJHA 2015 National High School Championship Cheerleading Team. Hill students from the College Law class and Mock Trial Team experienced an exciting program at the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit recently with their teacher Mrs. Kerry Sullivan, Esq. Located at the historic Thurgood Marshall Courthouse in Manhattan, the Hill students observed oral arguments before the Second Circuit Court of Appeals, and heard presentations from a federal judge and a prosecutor for the US attorney’s office.

St. Joseph Hill Academy High School received national recognition for our commitment to empowering students with our STEM Pathway Program. Hill High School has been named a Project Lead the Way High School Distinguished School for 2022-2023. We are one of 262 high schools across the U.S. to receive this honor for providing broad access to transformative learning experiences for students through PLTW’s computer science, engineering, and biomedical pathways.

The Board of Trustees and Sister Mary Coffelt, the President of St. Joseph Hill Academy and the Provincial Superior of the Daughters of Divine Charity is pleased to announce the appointment of Mrs. Elizabeth Campbell as the principal of the High School for the 2023-2024 as she succeeds Mrs. Maria Molluzzo, who is retiring after serving St. Joseph Hill Academy for 34 years and leading the High School as principal for the last five years.
