College Counselor

St. Joseph Hill Academy is seeking a college counseling professional to work with 11th and 12th grade students. Working closely with the Director of College Counseling, the college counselor is responsible for teaching a weekly guidance class, composing original letters of recommendation, assisting with all aspects of the application process for the senior students, and communicating with parents, students, faculty and college admissions representatives.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s and/or Master’s Degree in School Counseling and/or English, and one or more years of experience in college admissions counseling. Strong computer skills as well as skills in verbal and written communication, organization and time management, public speaking/presenting and counseling are necessary.

$50,000 to $60,000 for 1 to 2 years of experience; potentially higher with greater years of experience.
