Position Overview & Qualifications
St. Joseph Hill Academy seeks an engaging and knowledgeable Social Studies educator to join our faculty. The ideal candidate will teach U.S. Government/Economics to seniors and U.S. History, including AP U.S. History, to juniors.

Deliver clear, structured, and engaging instruction that promotes critical thinking, analytical reasoning, and strong writing skills
Design and implement curriculum aligned with course standards, including AP-level expectations
Differentiate instruction to support a range of learners and academic abilities
Foster a classroom environment that is structured, inclusive, and intellectually stimulating
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience teaching high school U.S. History and/or Government/Economics
Experience teaching AP U.S. History
Strong classroom management and organizational skills
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
Commitment to contributing positively to the school community
Education Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in History, Social Studies Education, Political Science, or a related field (required)
Master’s degree and teaching certification (preferred but not required)

Salary
$55,000 - $65,000, plus benefits, commensurate with experience.
