Barbara, whose family moved to Staten Island the summer before she went into the 2nd grade, was an active member of the Hill community. While at Hill, she was a member of the forensics team, the Latin club, a cheerleader, and the class salutatorian. Now, Barbara is a professional storyteller and has been for the past 23 years.
Barbara's multicultural storytelling program, "One World of Many People" will be hosted at both South Beach Library and New Dorp Library on the following dates (flyers for each date are also attached):
South Beach Library Wed., Sept. 27 at 4 pm
New Dorp Library Mon., Oct. 2 at 4:30 pm
Though her stories will appeal to children as young as 6 years old, students studying folk tales and those interested in drama/theater/speech (as well as anyone who just likes to listen to stories) might also like to attend.
