The Summit

The Summit is St. Joseph Hill Academy High School's student-run newspaper. The Summit staff attend events, conduct interviews, and write / edit original articles. Students are gaining skills in journalism and keeping the Hill community informed on the latest news and happenings in our school. The Summit gives our students a voice.

Moderator: Ms. Claire Regan

Ms. Claire Regan, a passionate journalist with more than 30 years of newsroom experience, is an assistant professor of journalism at Wagner College, her alma mater. Ms. Regan’s editing and design work for the Staten Island Advance has been honored by the Associated Press, the Society for News Design, the New York City Deadline Club and the New York Press Club. She is immediate past president of the Deadline Club and president-elect of the Society of Professional Journalists. Ms. Regan completed a yearlong fellowship in journalism ethics at the Poynter Institute for Media Studies and received the Charles O’Malley Award for Excellence in Teaching from the Scholastic Press Association of Columbia University.
