Description
Support the Advancement and Alumni Relations office. This includes, but is not be limited to: database operations, e-newsletters, social media, e-blasts, year-end-reminders, invitations, and assist with campaign materials, donor publications, development proposals and e-communications, and stewardship reports.

· Manage data and operations related to all aspects of development carried out by the Advancement Office, including; Raiser’s Edge, Constant Contact; Alumni/ae Directories.

· Execute administrative and database tasks to ensure the integrity of the database and gift processing records.

· Assist Director with developing funding strategies and assessing outcomes

· Develop strategies for best practice in data management and evaluates outcomes using the Raiser’s Edge.

· Stays abreast of new programs and resources to ensure the best data delivery possible by engaging in ongoing trainings and professional development.

· Leverages extensive knowledge of the Raiser’s Edge to support and advance the Office’s fundraising activities, from the generation of complex mailings lists and reports, to overseeing data and gift entry, supporting donor stewardship and supervising maintenance of donor and alumni records.

· Prepare analytical and statistical reports, queries and lists for management.

· Write internal and external communications, including articles for website, special announcements.

· Assist Director with creation of promotional materials for donor stewardship and events

· Assist in the management of Alumni Relations projects

o Included: Reunions; facilitating relationships with Alumni; special events for Alumni;

o Maintain Alumni Directory, etc.

· Work closely with the Finance Director.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in development, marketing, public relations, communications, organizational leadership, or a related field preferred.

Experience in Blackbaud Raiser's Edge required. Strong attention to detail and accuracy of data entry. Ability to work well independently with capabilities of thinking through various gift processing scenarios, including research and data collection, with minimal direct supervision. Ability to respect and maintain strict adherence to confidentiality policies.

Four years of full-time professional experience in development, non-profit management, marketing, branding or related experience in a service-oriented field, preferably in an academic environment.

Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage projects from start to finish and prioritize, ensuring that all timeline activities are performed and milestones met.

Graphic design experience is preferred.

Proficiency with electronic communications and social media, preferred.

Strong verbal and written communication skills with demonstrated abilities in consensus building.

Professional demeanor with flexibility and solid interpersonal skills.

Ability to attend and help with occasional weekend and evening events required.

At the request of the Director, undertakes additional tasks and/or projectsCandidate should have excellent writing, organizational, and interpersonal skills with strong consultation, presentation, and group facilitation skills; ability to work effectively as an individual contributor and collaboratively as a team member; a high degree of proficiency in the Raiser’s Edge, Microsoft Office Suite; and competence within a digital workplace.
