Drama Club
The SJHA Drama Club is an integral part of Hill's Performing Arts Program. Students, regardless of their academic pathway, can engage in this after school club to pursue their interest in theater and hone their talents in acting, singing, performing, dancing or in creating professional-quality productions. They are guided through each craft with direction from skilled theater professionals that direct and choreograph a musical every Fall along with some smaller-scale productions in the Spring including the annual Performing and Visual Arts Showcase.
Students are able to tap into their creative side and build skills such as confidence, collaboration, perseverance, and dedication.
All productions take place in the SJHA Auditorium with students also utilizing our newly renovating Performing Arts Studio. As an all-girls' school, SJHA welcomes male actors to join our program through open auditions in the late Summer for the Fall musicals.
In November-December 2023, the SJHA Drama Club proudly presented Bye Bye Birdie with Direction and Choreography by Samantha Hermansen, Assistant Direction by Kerrin Woll, and Musical Direction by Josh Sottile.
Special thank you to the Gold Sponsors of the 2023 production of Bye Bye Birdie: The Sheikowitz Family / Mill Park Pharmacy and The Montanti Family. |
