Admission to St. Joseph Hill Academy High School

St. Joseph Hill Academy seeks young women interested in a values based education, willing to undertake the challenge of a college preparatory curriculum.  Students are admitted based on the results of the Test for Admission into Catholic High Schools (TACHS), the applicant’s 6th, 7th, and 8th grade record. Hill considers all applicants regardless of religion, race, or national origin. 223 is the place to be!

At St. Joseph Hill Academy High School, we seek to educate and empower young women to be confident independent thinkers with strong character and leadership qualities, who stand ready to meet society’s challenges. We hope this day helps students to imagine a future for themselves as a Hilltopper, someone who always strives to reach the highest good (summum bonum). 


We can accommodate up to 8 students per date to ensure we follow necessary Covid-19 protocols. You will receive logistical information in advance of the date you select below. There is something about a Hilltopper and it is more than just the saddle shoes!
The students, faculty, and our beautiful campus grounds are at the heart of the experience at St. Joseph Hill Academy. We are excited to welcome you to an in-person Open House on Sunday, October 24, 2021 where you will have an opportunity to speak with students, hear from our faculty and administration, and tour our building and grounds. 
In keeping with Covid-19 protocols, you must register in order to attend. We will welcome forty 8th grade girls accompanied by one parent/legal guardian every 30 minute minutes beginning at 11:30 am and ending with our last session beginning at 2:30 pm. 
If you attend our Open House please make sure you submit an evaluation of your experience at the link enclosed.
Come to our Zoom Q&A on Tuesday, 11/2 at 7:00 pm! This will be especially helpful for 8th grade girls that were not able to attend Open House in-person. And if you did, but you still have questions, this is a great opportunity to ask them and engage with our administration and staff directly. Sign up today!

St. Joseph Hill Academy would like to cordially invite all 8th grade girls to join our coaches and our athletes for an open gym to get to know some of our teams up close and personal.
  • Basketball Open Gym Thursday 10/14 5-7 pm
  • Soccer Open Gym Monday 10/25 7-8 pm
  • Softball Open Gym Tuesday 10/26 7-8:30 pm
  • Volleyball Open Gym Thursday 10/28 6-7:30 pm


All located in the lower main gym. Masks are required. Wear sneakers and bring water! We are looking forward to seeing you there. Registration for the Open Gyms is not required. Incoming 9th Grader Application Process
Step 1:  Register to take the TACHS, the entrance exam for Catholic high schools. For more information on the exam and to register, visit  If you are interested in applying for a scholarship, you must list Hill first.  Our code on the TACHS exam is 223.

Step 2:  Choose a pathway. St. Joseph Hill offers two separate pathways. We have the STEM pathway that emphasizes math, technology, science, engineering, and art. We also have the Humanities pathway that emphasizes language, literature, history, social sciences, and art. Familiarize yourself with each and decide which best suits your interests. Step 3:  If you wish to sit for our SCHOLARSHIP EXAM, please register for the 12/1 exam here. In addition to the Scholarship Test, there are unique named Scholarship Opportunities listed here for accepted students to apply for prior to registration.
