MERIT-BASED SCHOLARSHIPS & THE 2023 SCHOLARSHIP EXAM

Academic Scholarships (full and partial scholarships) are awarded to accepted students each year. Hill's Academic Scholarships are merit-based - recognizing the accomplishments of students on the annual Hill Scholarship Exam, the TACHS test, and the student's performance throughout their middle school years. In order to be considered for a merit-based scholarship, you must take the Hill Scholarship Exam. Academic Scholarship recipients are notified through the admissions packet they receive in January.

St. Joseph Hill Academy awards multiple full and partial scholarships for qualified students. In order to be eligible for a full scholarship, a student must select Hill as her first choice school when taking the TACHS (code 223).  If you choose Hill as a second choice school you are eligible to receive a partial scholarship.

Hill Merit-based Scholarship recipients may also apply separately for financial aid, which may be combined with the Hill Merit-based Scholarship.

Recommendation letters for merit-based scholarships are not required.

IMPORTANT NOTE ON SCHOLARSHIPS

If a student received a Hill Merit-based Scholarship, they may apply for one or more of the Hill Named Scholarships if the Named Scholarship is of higher value than the Hill Merit-Based Scholarship. Scholarship awards are not stackable, meaning they cannot receive both a Hill Named Scholarship and a Hill Merit-based Scholarship. The student will receive the higher of the two Hill Scholarships. Applicants may receive other external scholarships that can be applied to the total tuition. Hill's Named Scholarship recipients and Merit-based Scholarship recipients may also apply for financial aid, which may be combined with either type of Hill Scholarship.
